The week before last, on one of the hottest days Ive ever experienced in New York, I took a trip to Greenpoint, Brooklyn to visit Nettie Kent in her bohemian studio to see the beautiful jewelry she creates with a lot of love. I was welcomed with a sweaty hug and a lounging kitty the biggest, fluffiest cat Ive ever seen!
I was totally one of those little girls playing dress up in my mom's jewelry box.
I grew up on the beach playing with shells and sand and swimming in the ocean. It is still my favorite place in the world. I live in Brooklyn now and I love it here.
